LA MARSEILLAISE
During WWII, the collaborationist Vichy regime tried to suppress the Marseillaise. Merely singing it was regarded an act of resistance. Here is that moment in the film Casablanca when the motley collection of clients at Rick's Café launch into an impromptu performance of the Marseillaise, to the great dismay of the Nazi officers.
