WINTER IN PARIS ~ 1941

The winter of 1941 was extremely cold in Paris. It snowed 31 times and the Seine froze over when the temperature dropped to 20 degrees. Wrote Paul √Čluard,

"Paris is cold, Paris is hungry / Paris no longer eats chestnuts in the streets /
Paris trembling like a star."

February 3, 1941. Place de l'Opera
